Discussed in Red's video about Don Quixote. Guinevere's role in the matter is rarely considered as important. Lancelot is either a breath of fresh air who lifts Guinevere out of her unhappy marriage, or an asshole who slept with his best friend's wife. Modern versions of the story tend to vilify either Arthur or Lancelot, depending on which side of the affair they support: Arthur is either a scorned husband whose royal duty demands he execute his beloved wife, or a bore who's too busy ruling to spend time with Guinevere.
